Moments in “chiaroscuro“, at the Rally d’Italia, for Movisport, which in any case was able to say goodbye to the island of the four Moors as leader of the world championship standings by team, greeting the sunny performance of Enrico Brazzoli and celebrating the lead of the tricolor land classification with the second square of Umberto Scandola. This is the quick and immediate summary of the weekend just passed in Sardinia, where the Reggio team made it a protagonist in any case.
The disappointment passes from the retirement of Gryazyn-Alexandrov (VolksWagen Polo R5), who stopped after five tests due to radiator problems and despite this important defection, which did not bring any championship points for the Team standings, the team managed to remain the leader of the however, he now stands in cohabitation with TokSport, at 125 points.
The satisfaction in the world, however, came the same, at the hands of Enrico Brazzoli-Danilo Fappani (Skoda Fabia R5), finished fifth in the WRC2 classification (22nd overall), acquiring ten points and settling in seventh place in the provisional ranking. A remarkable performance, that of Brazzoli and Fappani, considering the great difficulties given by the race course and also by the opponents present as well as by being the second dirt experience with the Fabia of the Piedmontese driver.

Instead, two important leaderships in the Italian Rally Gravel Championship have been confirmed: that of Umberto Scandola – Guido D’Amore with the official Hyundai i20, second overall behind the winner Andreucci. In the first timed section, after a bump, the car encountered a problem with the exhaust catalyst which slightly penalized performance. Thanks to a great performance, the Scandola-D’Amore duo was nevertheless able to always maintain the second absolute position without taking further risks, including punctures that affected the tests of other crews. The official pair of Hyundai Rally Team Italia continued the stage with two second times and a third, and after solving a problem with the communication system of the helmets, the best time in the last test also arrived, which allowed to keep in complete safety a very important second place in terms of the championship.
Zelindo Melegari, together with Manuel Fenoli (Subaru Impreza), has also ensured the lead of the Group N standings, having confidently repeated the success of last April at the opening of the championship at the Adriatic Rally and now reaching the top of the standings decisively.
