The Reggio partnership is back at the world championship start with Gryazin and Brazzoli, for the first tarmac appointment of the season, in Croatia.
Reggio Emilia, 20th of April – 2022
The world championship scenario is back for Movisport, the reigning World Champion among the WRC-2 teams. This weekend the Rally of Croatia is scheduled, the third round of the season, the first on asphalt. The “double pair” will return, namely Nikolay Gryazin, with his faithful Konstantin Aleksandrov, on TokSport’s Skoda Fabia Rally2 as well as Enrico Brazzoli with Manuel Fenoli, on the JME’s Ford Fiesta Rally3.
Nikolay Gryazin will have to redeem the misfortune of retiring in Sweden due to off the road, which stopped his run-up to the sunny places of the WRC-2 world classification and to train at his best he raced last week, in Slovenia, at Rally Vipavska Dolina, winning it. The Russian driver therefore presents himself at the start of the Croatian world championship appointment with the best conditions to get back into the rhythm.
Enrico Brazzoli will be in his second outing of the season after that of Monte Carlo in January, where he finished third in WRC-3. The driver from Cuneo will therefore seek continuity of results to stay above the provisional championship podium.
A strong presence also in Elba, with Ivan Ferrarotti looking for continuity from the two victories of Ciocco and Sanremo
Presence of “name” also at the 55th Rallye Elba, opening round of the Italian Rally Tarmac Championship. At the start Ivan Ferrarotti, paired as usual with Massimo Bizzocchi from San Marino, in what will be race number three of the season, for example the driver from Reggio, back from two vibrant victories at the national “Ciocco” and “Sanremo”. The season has therefore begun as best as possible for Ferrarotti, who is certainly setting off for the Italian adventure with all the spotlights on him. Alex Ferrari – Stefano Costi is also at the start on the Napoleonic island in a Renault Clio Rally5, ready to have their say in a category that promises to be competitive.
Another important participation, capable of giving new satisfactions, will then take place at the famous Rally Prealpi Orobiche, thirty-sixth edition. At the start, in Albino (Bergamo), Andrea Spataro, this time flanked by Omar Piras on a Skoda Fabia Rally2. Spataro has just returned from a victory at the “Laghi” and a remarkable fourth place at the “Sanremo Leggenda“, also for him the goal is the continuity of satisfactions, this time in a new scenario punctuated by great opponents.
